Art-Filled Contemporary split-level Maisonette located in a Grade II listed building at the centre of Bath's trendy Artisan Quarter. The 2 beds 1.5 baths generous apartment of 90 sqm offers a calming and comfortable space, whilst within steps of culture gemstones that the World Heritage City of Bath is known for.
The Walcot area is the essence of alternative life in the city, it brings together a vibrant, eclectic collection of characterful independents offering everything from vintage clothes to designer homeware, quirky artwork to delicious food.
For the interior concept, we drew inspiration from the building itself and the surrounding neighbourhood. Situated above a vintage clothes shop and neighbour to several small art galleries, we imagined this would be the home of a well-travelled Curator. A person that loves vintage furnishing as well as modern pieces.
We commissioned bespoke art pieces that would complement the interiors of the apartment, aiming to achieve an authentic aesthetics that is cosy and personal, more “home” than “hotel”.
LIVING SPACE
The large dining table has seating for four,
a mixture of modern and antique chairs, perfect for dinner together and a great
space to catch up on any work if needed.
BATHROOMS
The downstairs bathroom features a large walk-in shower, toilet and basin. There is also
a second toilet & sink upstairs.
BEDROOMS
The Master bedroom has a king-size
(1.5cm wide) bed with an award-winning Emma mattress. The view over the historic church opposite is a special sight.
The smaller bedroom has 2 single beds
that can be easily pushed together to make
a super king-size bed (1.8cm wide when together).

ACCESSIBILITY
The entrance access is via the back garden, through a shared path (with 2 other neighbours). There is a long flight of stairs (about 1.5 flights) up to the flat entrance.
Internally the apartment is split over 2 floors with only 1 stair guard (for the stairs leading to the roof which is a fire escape route only), so it MAY NOT BE suitable for toddlers, more suited for slightly older kids.
NOISE
Due to the central location of the apartment, the master bedroom and living room are facing a relatively busy road, you will hear slight traffic noise but we do have secondary glazing in place and it should not disturb you from sleeping. The smaller bedroom is facing a green valley and is very quiet.
